Summary and Purpose


The Senior Service Manager is responsible for developing a world-class technical services team, targeting to add 10 team members per annum. This will be accomplished through assessing the skills, performance, productivity and talents of Service Technicians and Field Controls Engineers for Pacteon and preparing written evaluations with advice for improvement.


Key Responsibilities



  • Hiring and management of Pacteon’s Field Service Technicians and Engineers
  • Continuous Improvement of the Technician Workforce through regular assessment of the team’s skills
  • Deployment and Continuous Improvement of the Service and Field controls training program 
  • Management of Knowledgebase for Technicians and Technical Support Specialists
  • Responsible for management of Key Technician Checklists such as Installation, Commissioning, and Audit Checklists
  • Partner with Parts Team to drive revenue through Audit Programs and Service Contracts
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to identify future training needs and developing a curriculum to facilitate that training
  • Build and Maintain Relationships with targeted trade schools to develop a pipeline of future technicians
  • Lead the Field Project management growth initiative
  • Travel expected at 50% 

Professional Qualifications


  • Education:
    • 4 Year Engineering Degree or 10+ years of experience in the same or similar industry 
  • Experience: 
    • Proven leader in a fast-paced environment with the ability to make decisions with the information available.
    • 5+ years managing a team of more than 20 Field Engineers and/or Service technicians
    • 5+ years of developing Training programs for Technicians
    • Knowledge of MS Dynamics Field Service Module or similar platform a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to align people in a collective direction, enables them to work together and accomplish the team's goal, and helps them adjust to constantly changing environment of a growing company.
    • Have excellent communication skills, including conflict management and managing through influence.
    • Strong attention to detail while multi-tasking to achieve quality and timely completion of tasks.
    • A results-oriented attitude coupled with a keen sense of accountability.
