Summary and Purpose


The accountant position is a key member of the accounting organization that will be responsible for payroll, accounts payable, business travel and credit cards, and supporting human resource administration and other areas as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities


  • Payroll: Responsible for timely submission, review, and processing of payroll. This includes coordination of all time collection entries for non-exempt employees for bi-weekly payroll, managing relationship with payroll provider, managing state payroll/unemployment tax set-up and notices, set-up of employee hires/terminations, EEO filings, quarterly disability payment reports, and all other payroll related matters.  
  • Accounts Payable: Responsible for managing invoice processing and batching weekly payment runs.   
  • Travel & Credit Cards: Responsible for overseeing travel and credit card program to be the main point of contact to set-up and train new employees, support users with any issues or other ad-hoc needs and establish controls that are monitored on an ongoing basis.
  • General Ledger Reconciliations: Responsible for ensuring account reconciliations are completed monthly and reconciled with all supporting details for assigned balance sheet accounts. 
  • Achieve and maintain a positive rapport with internal and external customers. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive process improvements and support all business needs. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Drive efficiency and productivity within accounting organization while delivering the best-in-class customer experience. 

Professional Qualifications


  • Education:
    • An undergraduate degree is preferred, or equivalent with 5-7 years relevant experience in accounting.
  • Experience:
    • Experienced user with Microsoft Office (Primarily Excel)
    • Knowledge of Paylocity, Paychex, Profit Key, Dynamics, and Concur
  • Skills:
    • Proven ability to work in a cross functional team environment.
    • Highly effective time management, personal organization, and communication skills.
    • Demonstrates strong attention to detail while multi-tasking to achieve quality, timely completions of tasks.
    • A “Results Oriented” attitude coupled with a strong sense of accountability.
